"There is no way to happiness; happiness is the way" ~ Thich Nhat Hanh
Hey friends!
One thing we get asked over and over again is what do you mean by "ethical"? 🤔
It's a great question because this is a very subjective term; it means something else for everyone.
There are hundreds of books about ethics, and many different schools of thought, but at ethical.net we're doing our best to avoid being dogmatic and we consider ethical as going in the direction of harmony with other people, animals, and the rest of the natural world.
We believe that the most useful kind of ethics are applied ethics: spontaneous decisions in-line with our deep aspirations, rather than with some set of purely intellectual rules.
As usual, if you'd like to contribute to the conversation, or if you have feedback about any of the ideas and projects shared below, please get in touch by replying to this email.
Thank you -- Cata and team ethical.net

2040: The Regeneration |
|
With 2040, director Damon Gameau has managed to create a positive vision of the future—sounds bonkers, we know.
But, importantly, the utopia he depicts can be achieved with the climate solutions we already have: clean energy, regenerative agriculture, ocean permaculture and more. Mark Kermode has called it "a movie that has the power to change the world."
It's currently screening across the UK, so get yourself out to see it! |
